What I Do
I don't ascribe to the belief that we can truly separate who we are from what we do provided we have found the thing we were meant to do. I love what I do. It's not without its challenges and trials but that's also what motivates me. There's a quote from Dr. J, "Being a professional is doing the things you love to do on the days you don't feel like doing them." and that's how I feel about my work. In 2007 I discovered the folks at Improving and I'm so excited to see how far we have come and where we are going as a company. It's truly different than any other company I've worked for, a company who's first job is building trust, that cares for and invests in people, and it's been a great place to work.
David is a values-based executive with demonstrated leadership in building shared vision, translating that vision to execution, organizational development, and successful strategies for early and growth-stage businesses.
David serves as President at Improving and has been with the company since its founding in 2007. He is a Founding Member of the Forbes Dallas Business Council. He is a graduate of the Integral Leadership Program (ILP) at Stagen Leadership Academy. He has been an external coach for the Senior Leadership Initiative since 2013 and is now participating in the Executive Coaching Cohort to continue his investment in others. He is an active member of the Young President's Organization (YPO) and has served on the board in multiple roles, including Chairman, in his 7 years of service.
David is a regular speaker and author on topics such as Conscious Capitalism, leadership development, start-ups, technology, and innovation.
