What I Do
I don't ascribe to the belief that we can truly separate who we are from what we do, provided we have found the thing we were meant to do. I love what I do. There's a quote from Dr. J, "Being a professional is doing the things you love to do on the days you don't feel like doing them," and that's how I feel about my work.
What I'm Doing Now
I'm a Regional Director at Improving and one of its co-founders, where I lead our AI practice and our One Texas region. Most of my writing here is about what I see from that seat: enterprises moving AI from pilot to production, what AI is doing to the consulting business model, and the AI economy I get to watch up close, as well as topics like entrepreneurship, life, and personal development.
I also host The Improving Edge, our podcast on technology and leadership.
Bio
David O'Hara is a Regional Director at Improving, a co-founder of the company, and a leader in Improving's AI practice. He has been with the company since its founding in 2007. He sits on the Board of Directors for United Texas Bank. He is a Founding Member of the Forbes Dallas Business Council, a graduate of the Integral Leadership Program at Stagen Leadership Academy, and an external coach for the Senior Leadership Initiative since 2013. He is an active member of YPO, where he has served on the board in multiple roles, including Chairman.
