In a conversation last week with Curtis, we were discussing someone who was looking to move on and he made a really important distinction to me. I had not heard it put this way but now that I have, I can't unhear it and it's a resounding YEAH! in my mind so I figured I'd share it.
"The difference between leaving and quitting is the momentum of the company you're exiting. If it's in a good place and moving forward, you're leaving. If it's in decline or struggling, you're quitting."
Wow, makes me think a lot about my past decisions and prior moves. Did I leave or did I quit? I'm no quitter.
TO CLARIFY: I'm not doing either, Improving is literally the best place I've ever worked.
